CCS PTO Guide
Welcome to the CCS PTO Guide!
This guide is meant to give families a clear picture of the PTO
and make it easier for caregivers to see ways to get involved throughout the year.
We hope you find it helpful and inspiring as you explore opportunities to connect and participate!
This Guide and the CCS PTO Google Drive is organized by the following topics.
FOR EASY ACCESS, PLACE THIS DRIVE IN YOUR "MY DRIVE" GOOGLE FOLDER.
This is new to the CCS PTO and there is much room for improvement! It will be updated as needed.
Please direct any updates, edits, questions, comments, or concerns to Damaris Herlihy.

The Charlotte Central School Parent Teacher Organization (CCS PTO) supports the school community by providing the means to enrich the learning experience of faculty, staff, and students at CCS.
A mission of the CCS PTO is to “foster an environment where all families, regardless of their background, can actively participate, engage, and thrive in our school community. We believe that by embracing diversity, fostering equity, and promoting inclusion, we can support an educational experience that prepares our children for a more inclusive and just world. We recognize the importance of dismantling systems that perpetuate bias and privilege, fostering an environment where every child, family, and staff member feels valued and respected.”
The CCS PTO takes this mission seriously. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out to the CCS PTO Board or contact a member of the Board of Directors to find out more.

All CCS caregivers are automatically members of the CCS PTO and all are encouraged to be active volunteers.
The Board of Directors consists of the Executive Board and Members-At-Large. Members-At-Large are determined by the current year’s Executive Board.
Read more about CCS PTO Members! Find out who is on the Board, what they do, and other opportunities all members have for participating.
Reach out to the CCS PTO Board or a member of the Board of Directors (see list of names here) to find out more.

The CCS PTO hosts lots of fun (and always free!) activities throughout the year that bring our community together. Some events raise funds to support student enrichment, but all donations are completely voluntary.
These events only happen with the help of our amazing volunteers—and there are so many ways to pitch in!
Whether you prefer to help in person or from home, there’s a role for everyone. Take a look at what we have
planned this year and
see how you can join the fun!
For a complete list of activities,
visit the Activities folder.
Look for a Checklist and
a Need-To-Know doc for each activity. Contact Damaris Herlihy if you don't see those docs.
Reach out to the CCS PTO Board or contact a member of the Board of Directors to find out more.
