CCS PTO Guide
āWelcome to the CCS PTO Guide!
This guide is meant to give families a clear picture of the PTO
and make it easier for caregivers to see ways to get involved throughout the year.
We hope you find it helpful and inspiring as you explore opportunities to connect and participate!
This Guide and the CCS PTO Google Drive is organized by the following topics.

ā
FOR EASY ACCESS, PLACE THIS DRIVE IN YOUR "MY DRIVE" GOOGLE FOLDER.
This is new to the CCS PTO and there is much room for improvement! It will be updated as needed.
Please direct any updates, edits, questions, comments, or concerns to Damaris Herlihy.

The Charlotte Central School Parent Teacher Organization (CCS PTO) supports the school community by providing the means to enrich the learning experience of faculty, staff, and students at CCS.
Mission
A mission of the CCS PTO is to “foster an environment where all families, regardless of their background, can actively participate, engage, and thrive in our school community. We believe that by embracing diversity, fostering equity, and promoting inclusion, we can support an educational experience that prepares our children for a more inclusive and just world. We recognize the importance of dismantling systems that perpetuate bias and privilege, fostering an environment where every child, family, and staff member feels valued and respected.”
The CCS PTO takes this mission seriously.

The CCS PTO hosts many fun (and always free!) activities throughout the year that bring our community together.
ā
Some events raise funds to support student enrichment, but all donations are completely voluntary.
ā
Attendees
All activities are complete free to all CCS community members!
Check out the list of Activities we have planned for this year.
ā
Caregiver Volunteers
These events only happen with the help of our amazing volunteers—and there are so many ways to pitch in!
Whether you prefer to help in person or from home, there’s a role for everyone.
Sign up as a volunteer to join the fun!

Activity Leads
If you have volunteered with the PTO to be an Activity Lead,
look for the CHECKLIST and CHEAT SHEET in each Activity > School Year folder to get started.
